My elementary school ago daughter loves these books. Glad I found the series. This particular one is about the famous Mary, Queen of Scots. In this particular case it is only about the early life of Mary which was a little of a disappointment to my daughter who had already learned Mary's history and wondered why the book stopped where it did. I love the mix of historical fiction along with actual facts and photos at the backs of the books. Great way to introduce other cultures into my child's life. She has been fascinated with history and I give some credit to these books. We just returned from the United Kingdom and my daughter wanted to visit some of the places in Mary's life - which is great. Got most of the books used - always high quality. Very impressed.

I love dear America with a passion, and I love a few books in this series. Marie Antoinette, And Anastasia and Elizabeth, which ive read over and over again. but...I'm kind of on the fence with the series as a whole. They seem to all have the same plot points....going to balls and parties....traveling between palaces each season.....there's just something about this series that I'm not a huge fan of.
